NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION
All newborn sessions take place in my cosy studio in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. Depending on the package you choose it usually takes 2-4 hours. Before your session, we’ll have a consultation to discuss your expectations, go over the session flow and cover how to prepare. You do not have to worry about anything as everything is provided - from high quality props, outfits and fabrics to refreshments for parents so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
Newborn sessions are best for babies aged 5–21 days old. When you book, we won’t set a date unless you have a planned c-section. I’ll note your due date and ask you to get in touch after birth to schedule the session. I take only a limited number of bookings each month to stay flexible and work around your baby’s actual arrival. With only a limited number of newborn sessions available each month, early booking ensures you don’t miss this once in a lifetime moment.

A deposit of £40 is required to secure your booking. The deposit is deducted from the total cost of the package and the balance is due on the day of your session. There are no hidden costs, just choose the package that suits you.
After your Photo Session....
You’ll receive access to a private proofing gallery within 7 working days. From there, you can select your chosen images from the comfort of your home. All selected images are hand-edited in the style you see in my portfolio. Final edits are delivered within 3 weeks via download. Physical prints and other photo products are ready for collection within 2 months.
FAQ
When is best time to book a newborn photo shoot?
The ideal window for the shoot is when your baby is aged between 5 and 21 days. Babies are typically very sleepy during the first two/three weeks after their birth so it's much easier to achieve all of those cute, curly poses and it's more likely for them to be settled and relaxed throughout the shoot.
When to book a newborn photo shoot?
The best time to book your newborn photo shoot is before your baby is born. You can book your session with me anytime after your 12 week scan.
How can I book a photo shoot if I am not entirely sure when my baby will arrive?
The truth is the vast majority of babies aren't born on their due date so when you book we won't actually set a date for your session (unless you are having a planned c-section). Instead I make a note of your due date and ask you to contact me as soon as you can after your baby's birth. At this point we'll set a date for your session to make sure we catch the 5-14 day window. I only take a small number of bookings for newborn sessions each month. This means I can keep my diary nice and flexible and work to your baby's actual birth date rather than their estimated due date.
My baby is already here! Is it too late to book?
If your baby has already been born please get in touch to check last minute availability. I may be able to squeeze you in if other babies have arrived a little earlier or later than planned.
My baby is older than 3 weeks old. Is it too late to book?
Absolutely not! You can still book, however please note that there is a big chance your baby will stay awake which means that the use of some props might not be possible and shots will be more natural.
Will my baby be comfortable in all of those poses?
I only ever photograph babies in poses they are comfortable with. I never force a pose and your baby’s safety, comfort and wellbeing will always come first.
Every newborn session is completely baby-led, which means we follow your baby’s pace throughout the session. There is plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, settling and nappy changes whenever they’re needed.
If there’s a particular pose or image you’ve fallen in love with, I’ll always do my best to create it. However, every baby is different and some simply won’t enjoy certain positions or may prefer to stay swaddled or curled up. If your baby isn’t comfortable in a pose, we’ll move on to something they’re happy with.
As a fully trained, experienced and insured newborn photographer, I use safe newborn posing techniques at all times, ensuring your little one is relaxed, comfortable and cared for throughout their session.

Price range is between £180-£430 depending on the package.
Do I have to pay double price for twins?
Not at all!
