Time flies by so fast. At six to eight months old the world is an exciting place, baby isn’t newborn any more, and can do lots of new things for the first time. This time is ideal for a Sitter Photography session.


Sitter shoots (or baby shoots) are for babies who are at that exciting age where they're able to sit up unaided, they're interacting more and we're able to get plenty of smiles. You don't want to miss any of these exciting moment as your little one is starting to discover the world.


Sitter sessions take place in my studio in Milton Keynes or in comfort of your own home. Depending on the package you choose it usually takes 1 hour.

A deposit of £40 is required to secure your booking. The deposit is deducted from the total cost of the package and the balance is due on the day of your session. There are no hidden costs, just choose the package that suits you.

Please note that unedited pictures are not included in any package. If you would like to buy unedited images please note that they are priced the same as the edited version.

PRINTS IN PACKAGES 


Please note that prints included in packages are copies of the digital files the client chose with their package - prints are not additional pictures.

After your Photo Session....



You’ll receive access to a private proofing gallery within 7 working days. From there, you can select your chosen images from the comfort of your home. All selected images are hand-edited in the style you see in my portfolio. Final edits are delivered within 3 weeks via download. Physical prints and other photo products are ready for collection within 2 months.

Where will our session take place?

It's in my studio in Bletchley, Milton Keynes

When is the best time for a sitter photo session?

Once baby starts to show signs of sitting up then it is time to get in touch! As it is a short session I don’t need as much notice as say a newborn session which is an all day session. The perfect time for your session is when you can stand above baby and they can look at you without toppling backwards! Ideally they won’t have started crawling yet either!

What can I expect from my session?

Simplicity! Sitter sessions are a one colour backdrop and I only use a couple of props that baby may have used if they had a newborn session with me or if they need a bit of support or something to hold onto. Other than that outfits are kept to a minimum, poses aren’t forced and it’s all about showing off their new skill!

Do we need to bring anything?

Please ensure you have plenty of milk for your little one, or snacks if they are weaned and prefer this to help settle them if needed. Apart from that please remember to bring a change of clothes and baby wipes as well.

What should my child wear?

Please bring one outfit that you love for your child, something very simple with limited patterns, no logos etc to keep the images timeless. Please also bring some frilly pants or a nappy cover if you have one, a simple white vest and your favourite sleepsuit too!

My phone camera is really good. Why should I hire a professional?

As someone who takes thousands of photos on my phone I know they are invaluable in capturing those fleeting or funny things your children do every single day, but they cannot replace quality, beautifully crafted imagery that is meant for the walls and albums and this is what professional photography will give you. I will do everything in my power to coax natural smiles from your little one, however at this age I love the different natural expressions on their faces that come simply from being in this setting.

Do you share images on social media?

I love to share a sneak peek from your session if time permits. I may also use any images from your final gallery on my social media pages as well as my website or blog as a promotional tool and most parents love to see their child being featured in this way. If you would prefer your child's images not to be used in this way that's fine too, please just let me know before your session.

How long does it take before I can see the photos?

You will receive a preview gallery with RAW photos about 3/4 days after your shoot. You take your time to choose your favourites that you want me to edit. After you make your selection is takes up to 20 working days for me to edit.

Waiting time for prints is longer - up to 2 months.

How do I access the photos?

You receive access to your private online gallery that is published for 6 months time.

How do we receive our order/prints?

When your prints are ready to be collected I will let you know! For long distance clients I usually arrange postage.

How long after the session do you keep my images?

Unordered images will be purged 20 days after your session. Ordered images will be archived in my system for 6 months.
