A little welcome from me! I’m so excited to welcome you and your family to your Christmas Mini Session!

I’ve been busy preparing the sets and I can’t wait for you to experience them and create some beautiful Christmas memories together.I’ve put together this little guide with everything you need to know before your visit, from what to wear and how to find the studio to what happens after your session.

Please take a few minutes to read through it before you arrive, and if you have any questions, you’re always welcome to get in touch.

Most importantly, don’t worry about getting everything perfect. There’s no pressure for your children to behave a certain way or smile for every photo. My aim is to make the experience enjoyable for everyone and capture your family as you really are.

01. Before you arrive — a little reminder!

Please aim to arrive around 10 minutes before your scheduled session time.

If you’re visiting the studio for the first time, this gives you extra time to find the car park, locate the correct building and make your way to the studio without feeling rushed. It also allows for any unexpected traffic or delays.

If I’ve finished with the previous family and the studio is ready, I may be able to welcome you a little earlier. If I’m still with another family, don’t worry - there’s a waiting area downstairs where you can comfortably wait until it’s your turn.

Each session lasts 30 minutes and I have families booked back-to-back throughout the day. Arriving on time is therefore really important.

Please keep in mind that if you arrive late, your session will still finish at its originally scheduled time. For example, if you’re 20 minutes late, we’ll only have 10 minutes left for your session as I need to be ready for the next family.

I know delays can happen, which is why I recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey. Thank you for helping me keep everything running smoothly!

Parking is free. Please allow a little extra time to park and find the studio, especially if this is your first visit.

02. Finding the studio

The studio is located inside Building C, Bletchley Business Campus.

If you’ve never visited before, I’ve included separate directions below to help you find your way from the car park to the correct building and studio.

When you arrive - there is an intercom downstairs at the entrance. Once you’re there, simply ring Perfect Moments Photography in the intercom or give me a call on 079366666675. I’ll let you into the building and come downstairs to meet you when I’m ready for your session.

03. What to wear

I’ve put together some visual inspiration to help you see which colours and outfits work beautifully with both Christmas setups.

You don’t need to choose just one setup! Everyone is welcome to use both sets during their session, so you can enjoy the different looks and variety they offer.

Keep it simple. If you prefer a neutral outfit, one outfit is absolutely fine. Neutral colours will work beautifully with both setups, so there’s no need to change clothes to match each background.

If you’d like to bring a second outfit, you’re more than welcome to! Think about your little ones. If your children love having their photos taken and feel happy and confident in front of the camera, a quick outfit change can be a lovely way to add variety to your gallery.

However, if you feel your little one might be shy, nervous or unsure about the experience, please don’t feel that you need to change their clothes. We don’t want to add any unnecessary pressure or make the session feel stressful.

If you’d like to wear shoes on the sets, please make sure they’re clean before stepping onto the setups.

And one little tip: if your child has a favourite toy, comforter or something that helps them feel safe, feel free to bring it along. A little familiar friend can sometimes make all the difference.

04. Your session details and important information

What’s included in your session?

Your Christmas mini session lasts 30 minutes and includes:

* Access to both Christmas setups.

* Four edited digital photographs of your choice.

* Five edited digital photographs if you’re a returning customer.

You’ll choose your favourite images from your private proofing gallery after your session. Please note that the photographs included in your package are digital files. Printed photographs and other photo products are available to purchase separately.

Extra photos are priced £15 per 1 extra.

Session payment - As a little reminder, your session fee is payable in cash on the day of your session. Your booking deposit is non-refundable. The deposit secures your chosen slot and the remaining session balance is payable on the day.

If you’d like to purchase additional photographs or products after viewing your gallery, these will be invoiced separately and can be paid for online by card.

For little ones who aren’t yet able to sit independently, we’ll make sure they’re safely and comfortably positioned in a suitable prop or on a parent’s lap. My priority is always to keep your children comfortable and safe while capturing those lovely family moments.

05. Cancellations and rescheduling

I completely understand that life doesn’t always go to plan, especially when little ones are involved. However, because Christmas Mini Sessions are booked back to back, I kindly ask that you let me know as soon as possible if something unexpected happens.

Cancellations and illness. Your booking deposit is non-refundable and cancellations or no-shows do not qualify for a deposit refund.

That said, I know that children can become unwell unexpectedly and I wouldn’t want anyone to feel they have to bring a poorly child to their session. If your child is ill or something unavoidable happens, please message me as soon as you can so we can discuss the situation and see what might be possible.

Please bear in mind that all Christmas Minis slots are currently fully booked. This means I may not be able to offer an alternative weekend or another date within the Christmas Minis schedule. If rescheduling is possible, it will most likely need to be arranged for a weekday, subject to my availability.

06. After your session - choosing your photographs!

I know you’ll be excited to see your photographs and I can’t wait to share them with you! Within 72 hours of your session, you’ll receive a link to your private proofing gallery.

This gallery will contain the photographs taken during your session, allowing you to view the images and choose your favourites for editing.

Your package includes four digital photographs or five if you’re a returning customer. You’ll select your included images from this gallery.

Please select your photographs within 48 hours. Once your proofing gallery has been delivered, you’ll have 48 hours to make your selection. Christmas Minis are very busy and this turnaround helps me keep everything on schedule and ensure that all families receive their finished photographs in time.

I completely understand that life gets busy, especially around Christmas! If you already know that you won’t have time to review your gallery when it arrives, please let me know in advance. If possible, we can arrange for your gallery to be sent on a specific day when you know you’ll have time to sit down, look through your photographs and make your selection.

When will I receive my finished photographs?

Once you’ve submitted your selection, I’ll begin editing your chosen images. Your final edited digital photographs will be delivered within two weeks of the date you submit your selection.

07. Prints, products and additional photographs

Your package includes digital photographs, delivered electronically. Printed photographs are not automatically included.

If you’d love to turn your Christmas memories into something tangible, you can also order prints and other photographic products.

I’ve included the available options and prices here!

If you’d like to add anything to your package, please let me know on the day of your session. You can also decide after viewing your proofing gallery. Additional photographs and products will be invoiced separately, and payment can be made online by card.

There’s absolutely no pressure to purchase anything extra - I simply want you to know what options are available if you’d like to make a little more of your photographs.

08. Let’s keep it fun!

This is probably the most important part of your session. Please don’t feel that your children need to smile on command, sit perfectly still or look directly at the camera in every photograph.

Children are children. Sometimes they’re excited, sometimes they’re shy, sometimes they need a little time to warm up - and sometimes the most beautiful moments happen when they’re not looking at the camera at all. A little cuddle, a cheeky glance, a giggle with mum or dad or a moment of curiosity can tell a much more meaningful story than a perfectly posed smile.

I want you to look back at these photographs years from now and recognise your children, their personalities and the little things that make them who they are.

If your child needs a little encouragement, feel free to bring along their favourite toy, a comforter or even a little treat to help them feel happy and relaxed.

Your session doesn’t need to be perfect to create beautiful photographs. It just needs to be yours!
